Memories
80th Annual Meeting of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH).
I had the honor of participating in the 80th Annual Meeting of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH), held in Vancouver, Canada. This event brings together leading specialists in hand and upper extremity surgery from around the world to share scientific advances, new surgical techniques, and clinical experiences that contribute to the progress of our specialty.
During the congress, I had the opportunity to present the lecture “Small Joint Arthroscopy,” where I shared my experience in the arthroscopic management of small joints of the hand. It was an enriching opportunity to present the work we are doing in Colombia, learn from colleagues from different countries, and strengthen the presence of our medical community in international settings. I am convinced that these types of academic spaces are essential to continue raising the quality of surgical practice in our country and to contribute to innovation in the treatment of hand pathologies.
